Local News To Be Available On Cell Phones
WFMY News 2 Set To Deliver Constantly Updated Local News Over Wireless
Greensboro/High Point/Winston-Salem, NC, (March 17, 2006) -- WFMY News 2 will soon begin providing local news and weather directly to cell phones . Wireless customers with data enabled phones will be able to access WFMY News 2's local news, weather, and sports stories and video. The announcement was made today by Deborah Hooper, President and General Manager of WFMY News 2 and by Sam Matheny, General Manager of News Over Wireless.
WFMY News 2 and News Over Wireless will keep users up to date with current local weather information and forecasts, local news, local sports scores and video. The service gives users "anywhere access" to the resources of WFMY News 2's news room and will be available for a low subscription price. The availability and price for WFMY News 2 News Over Wireless will be announced soon.
