News Over Wireless Partners with Fox Television Stations
New York and Raleigh, N.C., (September 16, 2009) -- Fox Television Stations, Inc. and News Over Wireless have partnered to make content from 16 owned–and–operated local Fox TV stations available on mobile devices.

The recently launched mobile web sites are ad–supported and offer users the latest local news, weather, traffic and more at no cost. The stations – located in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, Boston, Atlanta, Washington, DC, Houston, Detroit, Phoenix, Tampa Bay, Minneapolis, Orlando, Memphis and Austin – sell local ads while generating national ad revenue from NOW's direct sales and network of ad partners. Users access the mobile sites using each station's regular web address.
The 16 new mobile web sites were launched throughout the month of July and have nearly tripled compared to previous usage numbers. The dramatic rise in monthly usage so soon after launch demonstrates a valuable service to the community. This usage is also driving new revenue as some stations have already launched locally sold campaigns, plus national advertising from News Over Wireless.
In addition, the stations have content available on–deck with the nation's largest mobile carriers using News Over Wireless' premium solutions. Users subscribe to My Local TV® applications and video channels through their carrier's deck, through a station's web site or by texting the station's call letters to 4MYTV (46988). My Local TV® applications and premium web sites are available on AT&T, Sprint and Verizon. Video from each station is available on Sprint TV under My Local TV® and in Verizon V CAST's Local News category.
